 11:35 joncline : the reason is email is a subpeonable piece of content as well as a valuable archive over time. If you don't use IMAP, syncing becomes troublesome and duplicate emails are almost invevitable
 11:36 joncline : IMAP keeps the iPhone on par with other machines so you can use whatever is most convenient at the time without thinking "the msg was on my phone, etc."

FYI: One of the main features I've been talking to Shane Goldberg at ExtremeMember about is how to time code a new member sign-up so they only receive content from the date they join… as opposed to them getting instant access to all of the previously dated or archived content
